    SEC And ESPN Announce New TV Network The Southeastern Conference and ESPN have signed a 20-year agreement through 2034 to create and operate a multiplatform network, which will launch in August 2014, it was announced today by SEC Commissioner Mike Slive and ESPN President John Skipper.

    SEC NCAA Volleyball Regional Preview Two Southeastern Conference volleyball squads on Friday will vie for the opportunity to advance to the NCAA Regional Finals. Fourteenth-seeded Florida is in Austin, Texas, to take on the third-seeded Longhorns at 8 p.m. ET Friday, while 16th seeded Kentucky is in West Lafayette, Ind., to square off with top-seeded Penn State at 5 p.m. ET Friday.

    AVCA Announces All-Region Teams The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its 2012 AVCA All-Region teams and the SEC had 11 student-athletes named to the South Region Team. Four SEC athletes received Honorable Mention honors while Florida freshman Živa Recek was named South Region Freshman of the Year.

    Five SEC Teams In NCAA Volleyball Tournament The NCAA announced the 64-team bracket for the 2012 NCAA Volleyball Championships Sunday afternoon and the Southeastern Conference qualified five teams for the tournament. The SEC Champion Florida Gators garnered a No. 14 national seed while Kentucky, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Arkansas also earned a spot in the tournament.
