FREEPORT, Bahamas - For their play at the Junkanoo Jam this week in Freeport, Bahamas, senior Alli Smalley and freshman Tyrese Tanner were named to the Junkanoo Jam All-Tournament Team.
Smalley, a native of Arab, Ala., averaged 13.5 points, 2.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game in the two games, scoring a team-high 15 points in Auburn's win over Seton Hall in the third-place game. She shot 47.8 percent from the field, including a 55.6 (5-of-9) mark from 3-point range.
Tanner, a Birmingham native, averaged 6.0 points and 3.5 rebounds, along with a team-high 2.5 steals per game on the week. She scored a season-high 10 points with three steals in the loss to Sacred Heart.
Also on the all-tournament team were Boston College's Stafanie Murphy and Sacred Heart's Callan Taylor. Boston College's Carolyn Swords was named the tournament MVP.
Auburn will return to camps Sunday and will begin preparations for in-state rival South Alabama. The Tigers and Jaguars will face off at 6 p.m., Thursday at the Auburn Arena.
