AUBURN - The Auburn football team has reclaimed the No. 1 ranking in the latest Bowl Championship Series standings released Sunday. The Tigers were previously ranked No. 1 in the initial BCS standings on Oct. 24 but had been No. 2 every week since.
Auburn is 12-0 overall and 8-0 in the Southeastern Conference after winning at then-No. 9 Alabama, 28-27, Saturday. The Tigers are ranked second in the Associated Press, USA Today and the Harris Interactive polls.
Auburn will play South Carolina in the SEC Championship game on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT in the Georgia Dome. The game will be televised by CBS. Auburn fans attending the game are encouraged to wear orange.
