    Mississippi State’s Dee Bost was named SEC Player of the Week after he averaged 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 8.0 assists in wins over Ole Miss and Auburn. In just his second game of the year, Bost scored 25 points at Ole Miss in leading Mississippi State to its first SEC win of the year. He’s also dished out 16 assists in the last two games and now has 365 for his career, the 6th most in school history. For the week, he shot 52.4 percent from the floor and 88.9 percent from the foul line. He’s also just 92 points shy of becoming the 33rd player in school history to score 1,000 for a career. Since his return, the Bulldogs have posted a 2-1 ledger, including the road win at Ole Miss. As a result, MSU is tied for first place in the Western Division.

    Kentucky’s Terrence Jones was named SEC Freshman of the Week after averaging 26.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in wins over Auburn and LSU. Jones came off the bench and broke the UK freshman single-game scoring record with 35 points against Auburn. He shot 11-of-17 from the field, including a career best four 3-pointers . Jones also pulled down eight rebounds in the win. In the win over LSU, he came off the bench to score 17 points while pulling down seven rebounds. Jones has scored in double-figures in 10 straight games
