SEC TELEVISION SLATE FOR SEPT. 24 GAMES
The Southeastern Conference has announced its football game times and television networks for Sept. 24 games.
CBS Sports will televise the Arkansas at Alabama game at 3:30 p.m. ET. In last year’s game, Alabama defeated Arkansas, 24-20, in a battle of top ten teams Fayetteville. Alabama leads the series with Arkansas, 11-8.
ESPN/ESPN2 will televise both the Florida at Kentucky and Vanderbilt at South Carolina games at 7 p.m. ET. The network will decide which game will air on which network after the games of Sept. 17. Florida holds a 44-17 series lead over the Wildcats and won a 48-14 decision last year in Gainesville.
South Carolina won a 21-7 decision at Vanderbilt last year. While South Carolina holds a 16-4 advantage in the series, the scoring margin has been close of late. Since 2000, the average margin has been 13.73 points, which makes it the 20th closest in the SEC.
The SEC Network syndicated broadcast will feature Georgia at Ole Miss at 12:21 p.m. ET. Georgia leads the series, 30-12-1, and have won the last eight straight against the Rebels. Only one of the last five games at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in the series have been decided by more than eight points (Georgia, 35-15, 2001).
ESPNU and FSN will televise a pair of non-conference SEC games. The Louisiana Tech at Mississippi State game will kickoff at 7 p.m. ET on ESPNU and FSN will televise the Florida Atlantic at Auburn game at 7 p.m. ET.
State holds the series advantage over Louisiana Tech, 7-3. Tech won the last meeting, 22-14 in Ruston. This will be the first-ever meeting between Florida Atlantic and Auburn.
