LSU-Alabama Scores Second Highest TV Rating In 24 Years

“SEC ON CBS” RATINGS SCORE WITH LSU-ALABAMA SECOND HIGHEST-RATED REGULAR-SEASON GAME IN 24 YEARS

CBS Sports’ coverage of the SEC ON CBS on Saturday, Nov. 5 (8:00-   11:45 PM, ET) which saw *No. 1-seeded LSU beat No. 2 Alabama earned an average overnight rating/share of 11.9/21, up 170% from last year’s 4.4/10 in the metered markets (No. 5 Alabama-No.12-ranked LSU; 3:30-7:15 PM, ET).  The game also was up 153% from CBS Sports’ SEC primetime game on October 1, 2011 featuring Alabama at Florida, which earned a 4.7/9.

    Yesterday’s 11.9/21 for LSU-Alabama trailed only CBS’s 14.5/26 for Notre Dame vs. Miami (11/25/89).
