LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- Tyler Wilson made sure Arkansas didn't stumble on its way to Baton Rouge. Anything but.
The Razorbacks quarterback had a school-record 32 completions as No. 6 Arkansas defeated Mississippi State 44-17 on Saturday.
Wilson finished 32 of 43 for 365 yards and three touchdowns.
The win is the seventh straight for the Razorbacks (10-1, 6-1 Southeastern Conference), who travel to No. 1 LSU next week for a game with conference and national title implications.
It also clinched the first back-to-back 10-win seasons since 1988-89 for Arkansas, which completed its first undefeated season at home since 1999.
Chris Gragg led the Razorbacks with a career-high 119 yards receiving on eight catches. The tight end also had a 2-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter that put Arkansas up 31-10, and the Razorbacks outgained the Bulldogs 539-211.
All six of Mississippi State's (5-6, 1-6) losses this season have now come against teams currently ranked in the BCS standings. The Bulldogs were held to six three-and-outs.
The Razorbacks led 14-3 in the first quarter and appeared on their way to another score when Wilson was sacked and fumbled on a third-and-goal. Fletcher Cox returned the fumble 52 yards for the Bulldogs, who closed it to 14-10 four plays later on Dylan Favre's 5-yard touchdown run.
That was the last of the scoring for the struggling Mississippi State offense that was led by Vick Ballard's 54 yards rushing on 13 carries. Favre and starting quarterback Tyler Russell combined to finish 15 of 31 passing for 127 yards.
The Bulldogs are now 2-12 against the SEC West under coach Dan Mullen.
Arkansas, meanwhile, had no such offensive problems. Wilson's completion record eclipsed the former mark of 31 completions by Joe Ferguson against Texas A&M in 1971.
The junior quarterback opened the game with a 20-yard touchdown throw to Cobi Hamilton on the game's opening possession, and he put the Razorbacks up 21-10 in the second quarter with a 32-yard strike to Joe Adams.
Arkansas scored 30-straight points to go up 44-10 after Zach Hocker's third field goal of the game.
Jarius Wright added eight catches for 96 yards for the Razorbacks, and Dennis Johnson had 14 carries for 98 yards.
Arkansas entered the game No. 6 in this week's BCS rankings, already tied for the school's highest mark, and the Razorbacks talked openly about the possibility of reaching both the SEC and national title games.
Oklahoma State's loss to Iowa State on Friday night possibly opened that door somewhat for Arkansas, but its best opportunity to impress voters --and the computers -- will come on Friday against the top-ranked Tigers.
