    Kentucky Defeats Samford, 82-50

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Doron Lamb scored 26 points and Darius Miller added 17 to lead No. 3 Kentucky in an 82-50 rout over Samford on Tuesday night to extend the Wildcats' home winning streak to 41 games.

Kentucky (10-1) played without Terrence Jones, who missed the first game in his collegiate career after dislocating the pinky on his left, shooting hand on Saturday.

The Wildcats hardly missed a beat early against Samford (3-7) without him, scoring the first 11 points of the game, pushing the lead to 45-22 at halftime and by as many as 34 late.

Drew Windler and Tyler Hood scored 11 points apiece for the Bulldogs.

    Georgia Beats Mercer

ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia broke open a close game with a strong start to the second half and Gerald Robinson had 10 of his 20 points in the final 6 minutes as the Bulldogs beat Mercer 72-58 on Tuesday night.

Georgia (6-5) struggled with poor shooting early in the game and, trying to avoid its first loss to the Bears in 52 years, trailed most of the first half before opening the second half with a 16-3 run.

Freshman Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who did not score in the first half, had a steal and jam to cap the 16-3 run for a 46-33 lead.

Mercer (7-5) had only six points in the first 9 minutes of the second half. Langston Hall led the Bears with 16 points, including 11 in the first half.

Georgia has won two in a row after four straight losses.

    Tennessee Picks Up Home Win

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Renaldo Woolridge and Cameron Tatum scored 17 points each as Tennessee overcame a 10-point deficit in the second half to beat UNC Asheville 72-68 on Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs were ahead 51-42 with 14:34 to play when they went cold from the floor. Asheville scored on free throws but no field goals over the next 9:08.

The Volunteers came alive during the stretch, and Tatum sandwiched a pair of 3s around a long-range bucket by Skylar McBee. The third 3-pointer put Tennessee ahead 56-55 with 7:44 to play, its first lead since the game's opening basket. Another 3 by Tatum with 5:07 to play put the Volunteers ahead for good, and Tennessee hit seven free throws down the stretch to hang on.

J.P. Primm led UNC Asheville (6-5) with 25 points.

Jeronne Maymon had 13 rebounds and 10 points for Tennessee (4-6), which ended a four-game losing streak.

    Arkansas Defeats Eastern Kentucky

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Mardracus Wade scored 13 points and BJ Young 12 to lift Arkansas to a 71-57 win over Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday night.

Young, the Razorbacks' leading scorer for the season, began the game on the bench one outing after scoring just six points in his first and only start of his freshman season.

The victory is the second in a stretch of three games in six days for Arkansas (7-3) at home and improves the Razorbacks to 7-0 at Bud Walton Arena this season.

Marvell Waithe added 11 points as nine players scored for Arkansas, which shot just 32 percent from the field but connected on 29 of 35 free throws.

Jaron Jones led the Colonels (7-6) with 16 points, 11 in the second half. Eastern Kentucky's four-game winning streak ended.
