    SEC Men's Hoops Players Of The Week

    LSU’s Ralston Turner, a 6-foot-6, 205-pound sophomore guard from Muscle Shoals, Ala., was named SEC Player of the Week after averaging 15 points, 4.5 rebounds and one steal in wins over 10th-ranked Marquette and at North Texas. Turner had one of the biggest games of his LSU career in win over Marquette, having one of his best games from outside the arch. He led the Tigers with 22 points on four-of-five three-point shooting against the Golden Eagles. He played a solid game at North Texas as LSU won its sixth straight game holding an opponent under 60 points as LSU won 67-58.

    Florida’s Bradley Beal, a 6-foot-3, 209-pound freshman guard from St. Louis, Mo., was named SEC Freshman of the Week after averaging 17 points, six rebounds, two steals and one assist in leading the Gators to wins over Mississippi Valley State and Florida State. Beal started the week with a solid 13 point and six  rebound performance against MVSU where he shot three-of-four from distance. He followed that up with a team-best 21 points against Florida State. The 21 points against FSU marked the third time this season that he eclipsed the 20-point margin on the year.
