COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Coming into this weekend, Arkansas had won three consecutive games in the Southwest Classic between the Razorbacks and historic rival Texas A&M, but quarterback Johnny Manziel and the Aggies put an end to that streak Saturday. Manziel set a school record for total offense on the day and the Ags (3-1, 1-1 SEC) cruised to a 58-10 win at Kyle Field.
The Razorbacks (1-4, 0-2) looked like they were going to make things interesting in the early going, taking a 10-7 lead in the first quarter thanks to a 64-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Wilson to Knile Davis and a 26-yard field goal from Zach Hocker. From that point on, however, it was all Aggies.
Manziel, also known as “Johnny Football” to the Aggie faithful, was the story of the game for Kevin Sumlin’s Texas A&M squad. The freshman etched his name in the program history books with an Aggie record 453 passing yards, and broke another school record with his 557 total yards (104 on the ground).
Manziel added four more touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) to bring his season total to 16. He was on the same page with receiver Ryan Swope, who finished the game with five catches and a team-high 141 yards to go along with a receiving score.
Cobi Hamilton was spectacular again for Arkansas, but his 162 receiving yards were not enough. Davis posted 129 total yards on the day.

Quick Notes
· Manziel’s record-setting performance marked the third time in four games this season that the freshman has led the Aggies in both passing and rushing yards.
· With the last three games of this series being played in Arlington at Cowboys Stadium, this was the first trip to Kyle Field for Arkansas since 1991, the year before the rivalry took a 17-year break due to the Razorbacks joining the SEC.
· Although this was a match-up of familiar foes (69th renewal of the rivalry), Saturday’s win was the first for TAMU as a member of the SEC.
· Arkansas has 19 players on its roster from the state of Texas.
