AUBURN, Ala. – The Arkansas Razorbacks snapped a four-game losing skid on Saturday afternoon at Auburn with a 24-7 win on the plains. The Razorback (2-4, 1,-2 SEC) defense forced five turnovers against the Tigers and held AU to just 40 yards on the ground in the win.
The Hogs defense, which only had seven total sacks entering this weekend, was able to get pressure on the Auburn (1-4, 0-3) quarterbacks. The Razorbacks matched their season total of seven sacks by the halfway point in the third quarter. After the half, Auburn sat starting quarterback Kiehl Frazier in favor of backup Clint Moseley, but neither signal-caller was able to get the Tigers offense on a roll.
Tyler Wilson was efficient at the helm for Arkansas, completing 74 percent of his pass attempts for 216 yards while avoiding any turnovers. Dennis Johnson ran for 76 yards for the Hogs and found the end zone twice before the day was done.
After totaling 465 receiving yards in his last two outings, Arkansas wide-out Cobi Hamilton was limited to 72 yards against Auburn and was held out of the end zone. Hamilton recorded five receptions on the game, however, that kept his streak of consecutive games with at least one catch alive at 28 straight.
