LEXINGTON, Ky. – This week, the University of Kentucky men’s golf team travels south to San Jose del Cabo, Mexico to compete in the Querencia Cabo Collegiate for their final tournament of the fall season.
The Wildcats will send out the same lineup they have used in their first three tournaments of the year, which includes Cody Martin, Chase Parker, Stephen Powers, Will Bishop and David Snyder, while Harrison Greenberry is playing as an individual.
"The Querencia Cabo Collegiate is probably the finest collegiate golf experience in the nation,” head coach Brian Craig said. “This golf course and tournament setting is absolutely stunning. The field is solid and I am looking forward to watching this team continue to develop and get better this week."
Chase Parker placed in the top-10 for the first time this season, finishing tied for sixth at the Jack Nicklaus Invitational. Stephen Powers looks to close out a strong fall season after recorded two top-20 finishes, including tying for sixth at the Saint Mary’s Invitational. Sophomore David Snyder also finished in the top-10 at the Saint Mary’s Invite, placing tied for eighth, while Will Bishop and Cody Martin have claimed two top-20 finishes this season.
Joining the Wildcats will be 11 schools including Abilene Christian, Arkansas-Little Rock, Cincinnati, Florida State, Loyola Marymount, Mississippi, Santa Clara, South Dakota, South Florida, St. Mary’s and Texas-Arlington.
The Cabo Collegiate will be hosted at the Querencia Golf Club, which is a par 72 and has a 7,070 yard layout.
