COLUMBIA, Mo. – Kendial Lawrence rushed for 108 yards and two scores against Kentucky on Saturday, and the Missouri Tigers recorded their first SEC win with a 33-10 triumph over the Wildcats.

Lawrence paced the Tigers (4-4, 1-4 SEC) with 4.7 yards per touch on 23 carries, and Marcus Murphy tacked on another rushing touchdown for Mizzou in the win. Lawrence scored both of his rushing touchdowns in the first half, with each score coming from inside the 5-yard line, and the Tigers took a seven-point lead into the break.

Kentucky (1-8, 0-5) was led on the ground by Raymond Sanders, who ran for 64 yards and a score on only 11 carries. Quarterback Jalen Whitlow was unable to get it going through the air for the Wildcats however, and UK finished the game with a mere 179 yards of total offense against the Mizzou D.

The Tigers controlled the clock throughout the game, possessing the ball for over 36 minutes and running 19 more plays than Kentucky. Missouri forced UK into three turnovers on the afternoon, and the Wildcats’ five penalties did not help their cause in Columbia.
