    Five SEC Cross Country Athletes Earn All-America Honors

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Five Southeastern Conference cross country student-athletes earned All-America honors due to top-40 individual finishes at the 2012 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships this past weekend, the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Monday.

    The SEC athletes earning All-America honors included: Arkansas’ Kemoy Campbell, Texas A&M’s Henry Lelei, Kentucky’s Cally Macumber, Tennessee’s Peter Okwera and Kentucky’s Chelsea Oswald.

    Lelei and Macumber each finished in sixth place on the men’s and women’s sides, respectively, to lead all SEC runners at the NCAA Cross Country Championships this past Saturday at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky.

    The USTFCCCA will announce the NCAA Division I National Athletes and Coaches of the Year on Tuesday.
