    Missouri Tops Stanford, 78-70 in the Bahamas

    Laurence Bowers scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Missouri topped Stanford, 78-70 in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament in Nassua.

    Phil Pressey also had a big game for the Tigers, scoring 18 points and dishing out nine assists.

    Missouri led 37-34 at the break, and the lead stayed in single digits nearly the entire second half. The Tigers were able to clinch the game down the stretch by hitting 22-of-25 (88 percent) from the free throw line in the game.

    Stanford's Chasson Randle led all scorers with 22 points, while Dwight Powell had 18 for the Cardinal.

    Missouri (4-0) got 13 points from Alex Oriakhi and 10 points and 11 rebounds from Earnest Ross.

    Vanderbilt Falls to Davidson in Orlando, 75-62

    Kedren Johnson scored a game-high 28 points for Vanderbilt, but it wasn't enough as the Commodores lost to Davidson, 75-62 on Thursday at the Old Spice Classic in Orlando.

    Vanderbilt had the lead for much of the first half, but Davidson closed the half on a 13-2 run, taking a 33-25 lead into the break.

    In the second half, Vandy rallied to take a one-point lead at 49-48 on a three-point play by Johson, who made a layup and the free throw after he was fouled.

    From there, Davidson assembled an 18-3 run to put the game out of reach.

    De'Mon Brooks paced Davidson with 19 points, while Nik Cochran and Jake Cohen each had 14.

    Kyle Fuller was the only other Vanderbilt player in double figures, as he scored 14 points.
