    AUBURN POST-GAME QUOTES

    Head Coach Terri Williams-Flournoy

On the first game since the 11-day break...

"Well as you can see, it was a little rusty. It was hard to get them to really stay focused right now with having finals and trying to get them focused with the scouting report and everything to play. It was a little rusty for this first game back here after not having played since Nov. 28. Hopefully we got all of this out of the way, and we can do nothing but play basketball now."

On the offensive production today with four players in double figures...

"I'm very proud of what we got out of our starters. We need to get a little bit more out of our bench play because our starters are playing a lot of minutes. They're having to stay in for too many minutes, so if we can get just a little more productivity from our bench, they wouldn't have to play as long. I'm proud of our starters. Even if you look at it, they probably could've had even more points. I thought we missed a lot of layups."

    On Peyton Davis's performance...

"It's funny, I'm going to get on Peyton because she had 13 points and 12 rebounds, but she really could've had more. She missed so many layups inside, and we're just really working on Peyton trying to slow down a little bit. They had nobody above six feet out there that was trying to guard her, and she really could've just taken her time. For us and for Peyton, the more she can build her confidence is only going to help us."

On the fourth in eight games that Auburn forced 25 or more turnovers...

"We look at our turnovers, but then we look at our points off of turnovers, and that's the one that we have to get a little bit better. Although we're forcing teams into 20 plus turnovers some games, we're not getting the productivity in points off of turnovers that we need to get, especially with live ball turnovers. We have to turn those into points. That's just something that we have to work on."

On having the opportunity to take the team to Washington, D.C., to face George Washington...

"I'm really proud to take our team back to Washington, D.C. Not many teams have that opportunity, so I just threatened them a little bit that if they don't play well, they won't go back, but I'm really looking forward to it."

    Peyton Davis, C, Jr.

On the first game since the 11-day break...

"It's definitely been a while. I think it's been about a week. We had finals this past week, so I know we were all just ready to get out on the floor and do something and get out of practice a little bit and just come out and play and do what we love."

On being back in front of the home crowd...

"It was great. We love our crowd. When they're not there, we miss them. I think we have the best fans in college basketball; in any sport actually."

On her first career double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds...

"I had an old coach who always told me, `Your time will come.' I got real tired of hearing that, and I decided my time was now. Coach Walters always gives us little sheets of paper that I keep in my ankle braces. It said 13 points and 10 rebounds, so I got mine."

    HOFSTRA POST-GAME QUOTES

    Head Coach Krista Kilburn-Steveskey

On her thoughts on tonight's game...

"It is tough because we often times check out of games and don't compete. We can't make up that 8-10 minutes when we check out. Obviously playing good teams have magnified our problems, but it is about time we start fixing them collectively. It is just not one player."

    On Anma Onyeku's performance...

"She was a game changer. She was single handedly trying to pick it up for the team. Unfortunately it gets overshadowed when you don't get a win. We talked about her performance tonight. We need people to step up. Usually Shante (Evans) is the one we lean on heavily. She took herself out of the game early. It was a different game for her. She wasn't getting tripled or quadruple teamed. They ran a 1-2-2 trap all night. We had to find some opportunities. It is unfortunate that we didn't come out of here with a win."

    On committing 26 turnovers...

"Well you witnessed it. We have to finish with contact. We are not going to get the calls against a big time or the SEC programs. They didn't give us the little hits. You witnessed that. I can only focus on the things that I can as a coach. We will focus on getting the ball in the hole like crazy when we get home. One thing I will say is that we didn't let that completely take us out of the ball game. We broke the press the majority of the time and then we decided to shut down. It caught up to us in the last four minutes."

    Anma Oyeuku, F, Jr.

    On scoring a career-high 21 points...

"I know when I went in I had to hustle. I had a couple missed layups in the first half. I had to focus and come out in the second half. That is what coaches always talks about in practice. We have to focus on the basket and that's when I tried to do."

    On the second half comeback...

"My game is generated by my team. If they are hustling, I feel as if I am added into that. Just building off their energy, helped me."

On the week and half break...

"We are definitely going to regroup. We did good things and bad things. We just need to see what we need to focus on and prepare ourselves for the rest of the nonconference schedule."
