    Two SEC Athletes Ready For Bowerman Ceremony

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Two Southeastern Conference track and field athletes – Kimberlyn Duncan of LSU and Tony McQuay of Florida – will be in Orlando on Wednesday as 2012 finalists for The Bowerman, track and field’s highest honor. The winners will be revealed in a ceremony at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes.

    The presentation can be viewed live on FloTrack.org with the Red Carpet Show beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET Wednesday.

    The award, which debuted in 2009, is named for is named for legendary Oregon track & field and cross country coach Bill Bowerman. Bowerman served the sport of track and field in numerous ways. His leadership in the USTFCCCA’s predecessor organization, the National Collegiate Track Coaches Association, and his contributions to NCAA track and field and the running community as a whole are among his many lasting legacies.
