Senior goalkeeper Amy Howard was named a 2012 NSCAA University Division Second Team Scholar All-America as well as the NSCAA All-South Region Second Team goalkeeper while freshman defender Kala Faulkner was named to the All-South Region Third Team.

Howard, who posted a 3.65 grade point average while majoring in elementary education, left the Auburn program as one of the top goalkeepers in its history. During the 2012 season she led the nation in minutes played (2298:56) and finished eighth nationally in total saves (130). Her minutes established the Auburn school record, as did her 387 career saves. The Mandeville, La., native posted a .818 save percentage in 2012, which was fourth in the SEC and 74th nationally, and her seven shutouts tied for third in the SEC.

Faulkner, from Alpharetta, Ga., was a SEC All-Freshman Team selection and was named Second Team All-SEC by CollegeSportsMadness.com. Starting 25 games as an outside back, she led all Auburn field players in minutes played with 2.251 and finished with 12 shots, putting half of them on frame. Offensively she scored one goal, netting the game-winner in the 4-2 comeback win over South Carolina.
