SEC GYMNAST OF THE WEEK
Ashanée Dickerson, Florida

• Ashanée Dickerson claimed three event titles, including winning her 15th career all-around with a season-best total of 39.575, in Florida’s win over Missouri on Friday. Dickerson upped her collegiate vault best to a near-perfect 9.975 to claim her second title of the season on the event and the 16th as a Gator. She also anchored the Gators’ floor exercise lineup with her winning mark of 9.90 for the 17th floor win as a Gator. Dickerson now owns five event titles this season and 63 for her career, which places her fifth on the Gators’ all-time list. She also posted season-best marks of 9.85 for both bars and beam, which took second in the UF-MU beam competition.
SEC SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
Mackenzie Caquatto, Florida
Junior • 5-1 • Naperville, Ill.
• Mackenzie Caquatto found perfection on the uneven bars, anchoring the Gators’ bar lineup with a perfect 10.0 vs. Missouri. She is the first collegiate gymnast in any event to earn a 10.0 this season. Caquatto is the fifth Gator to earn the mark on uneven bars and first since All-American Melanie Sinclair earned her third in 2009.
SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Brandie Jay, Georgia
5-1 • Fort Collins, Colo.
• Georgia freshman Brandie Jay helped the Gym Dogs to a pair of wins over Auburn and Stanford with four scores of 9.85 or higher, including two 9.9s. Against Stanford, Jay competed on the uneven bars for the first time and posted a 9.9 to claim her first career event title. She also added a season-high 9.9 on vault to go along with a 9.85 on floor. In the win over Auburn, Jay turned in a season-high 9.875 on floor to tie for third.
