Bridget Sloan, Florida

• Bridget Sloan claimed her first collegiate all-around win as Florida defeated Arkansas on the road on Friday. She posted a 39.55 in the AA, a collegiate-best for her, and shared the AA title with teammate Ashanée Dickerson. Sloan also upped her collegiate-best to 9.925 to take her second balance beam title of 2013, and finished second in the bars standings at 9.90, just off her collegiate-best of 9.925 set the previous week. Sloan owns five event titles this season.

Kaylan Earls, Georgia
Junior • 5-0 • Chicago, Ill.
• Kaylan Earls scored a career-high 9.95 on beam and a 9.875 on floor to help Georgia post a season-high team score of 197.500 in its win over Alabama. Earls claimed her first beam title of the season as the anchor following a fall by a Georgia gymnast earlier in the rotation. Her career-high helped the Gym Dogs post a season-high 49.425 on beam, and Earls then led off on floor with a 9.875.
SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Caitlin Atkinson, Auburn
5-0 • Houston, Texas
• Freshman Caitlin Atkinson posted the top performance of her young career and the best by an Auburn gymnast in 2013 with her all-around total of 39.525 in the win over Missouri. She posted the first two 9.9 scores of her career on vault and bars, while also adding a 9.85 on floor and a 9.875 on beam. Her efforts helped Auburn to its top score of the season, a total that ranks as the best road score in program history and the fourth-best overall in the Auburn record books. Atkinson’s event scores included season highs on vault and bars and an equaling of her season high on beam. Her 39.525 in the AA is tied for the sixth-best all-around total in Auburn history.
