Ashley Sledge, Alabama

• Senior Ashley Sledge scored season-best scores of 9.9 on the vault, uneven bars and floor exercise against Auburn, leading Alabama to a season-best 197.650, which was also the highest score in the nation last week. Her 9.9 on the floor exercise tied her career-high. Sledge’s score on the floor helped push Alabama to a season-best 49.500 as a team. Her 9.9 on vault helped lead Alabama to a season-high 49.475.
SEC SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
Sarie Morrison, LSU
Junior • 5-9 • Dallas, Texas
• Sarie Morrison won titles in two events in LSU’s 196.825-195.625 victory over Arkansas. Morrison scored the first perfect 10.0 of her career on vault to win the title. She followed her perfect vault with a 9.90 on bars to win the event title for the third straight meet. Morrison is one of only three collegiate gymnasts with a 10 on vault this season and the only one from the SEC. She is only the fifth gymnast in school history to score a 10 on vault.
SEC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Brittany Rogers, Georgia
5-3 • Coquitlam, British Columbia
• Georgia freshman Brittany Rogers recorded two career-highs in the Gym Dogs’ meet against No. 1 Florida. Rogers turned in a career-best 9.925 on the uneven bars to place third, and she posted her best beam score of the season with a 9.9 to tie for first. She also scored a 9.875 on vault. Rogers’ performance on vault and bars helped the Gym Dogs score season-highs on both events.
