COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Four Auburn women cracked the one-minute mark in the 100-yard breaststroke to highlight Friday's fourth morning of preliminaries at the 2013 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships.

The Tiger women will have 13 swimmers in tonight's finals session with six in championship finals. Four of those will be in the 100 breast as Lindsey Norberg, Micah Lawrence, Lauren Norberg and Abby Duncan all posted times that rank among the best in Auburn history. The Tiger men, meanwhile, will have seven swimmers in tonight's finals, four in their respective championship finals.

Lindsey Norberg was the top Tiger in the morning, earning the fourth qualifying spot with a personal-best 59.67, the second-best time in school history. Right behind her was Lawrence, the school-record holder, who went 59.69 for the fifth qualifying spot. Lauren Norberg broke the 1-minute mark for the first time with a 59.89 to qualify sixth, and Duncan lowered her personal-best time from 59.99 to 59.90, qualifying seventh. Senior Laura Johnson also earned a return swim in the C-final with a 1:02.18.

In the men's 100 breast prelims, senior Stuart Ferguson earned a berth in the championship final with a time of 53.55 to qualify sixth overall. Junior Peter Haas will swim in his first SEC final with a 14th-place time of 54.51 to earn a spot in the B-final. He will be joined by senior Chandler Gerlach, who qualified 15th with a 54.68.

The women's 100 backstroke was also a highlight of the morning as junior Emily Bos and freshman Jillian Vitarius made it back for the championship final. Bos posted the fifth-best time of the morning, tying her personal-best mark with a 52.52, and Vitarius recorded a personal-best and the eighth-fastest time in Auburn history with a 52.74 to qualify eighth. Aubrey Peacock made it back in the B-final with a 53.37, and freshmen Sarah Reynolds (54.07) and Caitlyn Forman (54.22) will swim the C-final.

Senior Kyle Owens provided the men's top performance of the morning as he posted the nation's fastest time so far this year with a 45.92 to earn the top seed in tonight's 100 back final. Brandon Siemasko will swim in the B-final after clocking a 48.49.

Fresh off a championship finals performance last night in the 100 fly, freshman Arthur Mendes started Friday's session off with a bang as he posted a 1:45.64 in his heat of the 200 fly to earn a spot in the championship final. Kevin Behrens, the Tigers' only other competitor in the event, earned a return swim in the consolation final with a personal-best 1:47.45.

In the women's 200 fly, freshman Alex Merritt qualified ninth overall with a 1:58.13, and sophomore Sarah Peterson went 1:58.14 to finish 10th in the prelims. Megan Fonteno will give Auburn three entries in the consolation final as she posted a 16th-place time of 2:00.12.

Women's platform diving gets underway early in the afternoon, and tonight's finals begin at 6 p.m. ESPN3.com will have live coverage of tonight's finals session, and fans can follow @AuburnSwimming on Twitter for updates from the pool.
