Fico secured a SEC-low 0.33 ERA for the weekend and notched a pair of victories over Mississippi State in record setting fashion. Fico retired 25 of the final 27 batters she faced and wrapped up the 1-0 14-inning triumph with her record-tying 22nd strikeout of the game. The Connecticut native added eight strikeouts in another complete game win to clinch the series and give LSU sole possession of first place in the SEC Western Division. Fico leads the league in several categories, including opponent batting average (.139), batters struck out (30), innings pitched (21) and earned run average (0.33).
