AUBURN, Ala. – The inaugural Southeastern Conference Equestrian Championship will be hosted by Auburn University, March 29-30, at the Auburn University Horse Center. Admission and parking are free for both days of competition.
Each of the SEC’s four equestrian programs--Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina and Texas A&M--will participate in the two-day championship. All four programs have been consistently ranked in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association coaches poll throughout the season. The current rankings are No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Auburn, No. 6 South Carolina and No. 8 Texas A&M.
Friday’s competition will begin at 10 a.m. CT and will feature matchups with No. 1 seed Auburn vs. No. 4 seed Texas A&M and No. 2 seed South Carolina vs. No. 3 seed Georgia.
The winners of Friday’s competition will meet in Saturday’s championship round at 2 p.m. CT. The consolation round will begin at 10 a.m. CT. All times are subject to change.
There will also be an Equestrian Egg Hunt for children 12 and under at the Equestrian Center on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. CT during the consolation round.
