LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The University of Kentucky football team continued its spring practice Monday morning at the Nutter Field House. The team moved indoors to practice due to winter weather moving through the Lexington area.
The practice session was the fifth of the spring season after the team practiced on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday last week. UK is scheduled to practice Wednesday and Friday to complete week two.
The team was originally not scheduled to practice last Saturday, but head coach Mark Stoops decided to take advantage of a beautiful day weather-wise to get work in outdoors. Stoops said Monday that Saturday's practice was good and they were happy with the work they got out of it.
Stoops and offensive coordinator Neal Brown met with the media after practice Monday to talk about the team's performance. Stoops said the offense had a good day, while he is looking for more out of the defense.
Video of Coach Stoops and Coach Brown after practice is posted below.
