    South Carolina No. 1 In Latest NCEA Poll

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – On the heels of winning the inaugural Southeastern Conference Equestrian Championship, South Carolina has moved to the nation’s No. 1 spot in the latest National Collegiate Equestrian Association’s coaches poll, which was released on Wednesday.

    Each of the four equestrian programs of the SEC are ranked among the nation’s top eight, including three in the top-five. SEC Championship third-place finisher Georgia currently ranks third, while SEC Championship runner-up Auburn is fourth. Texas A&M is ranked eighth.

    The collegiate coaches competing under the National Collegiate Equestrian Association umbrella initiated the national poll.

    The NCEA National Championships are slated for April 18-20 at Waco, Texas.
