    Tigers Back At Practice

    April 23, 2013

AUBURN - Coach Gus Malzahn's Auburn Tigers returned to the practice field early Tuesday morning for their 14th workout of the spring, held at the Auburn Athletics Complex practice fields. This was the first workout for Auburn since Saturday's A-Day game, attended by a record 83,401 fans at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

"Today we had our early morning practice. It was our last padded practice. I challenged our guys before that most teams can't go out with great energy after a spring-type game. But for the most part, I felt like our guys wanted to get better, and I felt like we did get better," Malzahn said afterward.

"That was a bright spot on that. Tomorrow we will have a last practice in shorts. It will be a lot of teaching, a lot of technique. There was some teaching today, too, but this was really the last time we went offense against defense, and got after it. Overall, I feel good about where we're at. We've got one practice left, and we'll go from there."

The Tigers will hold one more team workout Wednesday morning to conclude the spring practice period.
