AUBURN -- Corey Lemonier is taking his pass rushing ways to San Francisco. The 49ers took the former Auburn defensive end in the third round of the NFL Draft on Friday night.
Lemonier, who left Auburn after his junior year, is cashing in on his reputation of harassing quarterbacks. He had 5.5 sacks last year and 17 sacks in his career, good for seventh all-time on the Auburn sacks list. He had 24 tackles for a loss in three years.
He's the first Auburn player selected in this year's draft.
