    Baseball. No. 18 Ole Miss Comes To Plainsman Park For Three-Game Series

    With just three conference series remaining, the Auburn baseball team welcomes No. 18 Ole Miss to Plainsman Park for a weekend series. Game times for the series are 6pm on Friday, 2:15pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday. Saturday's game will air live on SportsSouth while the other two will be available through AUHD on All three games will be carried live on the Auburn IMG Network's baseball affiliates.

    Wacker's Heroics Lead Auburn To 3-2 Win At No. 12 Ole Miss
    Cullen Wacker drove in the game-tying run with a ninth-inning, two-out double and that was after the left fielder robbed Ole Miss of a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth as Auburn rallied with two ninth-inning runs to win 3-2 at No. 12 Ole Miss on Sunday. The win gave Auburn the series victory and upped the team's record to 12-8, 2-1 SEC while Ole Miss fell to 15-5, 1-2 SEC.

    Auburn (25-18, 7-14) goes into the series tied with Missouri for 11th in the SEC standings, half a game behind Texas A&M for ninth, while Ole Miss (32-14, 11-10 SEC) is currently in seventh place as the teams try to solidify spots in the 12-team SEC Tournament later this month.

    Auburn will start left-handers on both Friday and Saturday, throwing Conner Kendrick (3-2) on Friday and Michael O'Neal (8-3) on Saturday. Sunday's starter has yet to be determined.

    Ole Miss will start three straight right-handers on the mound, with Bobby Wahl (8-0) getting the nod on Friday, Mike Mayers (3-4) on Saturday and Sam Smith (2-0) on Sunday.

    Auburn has won three straight series over Ole Miss and is 7-5 against it in the regular season under John Pawlowski, who is three wins shy of 500 career victories as a head coach.

    Friday night is Beach Night at Plainsman Park and fans are encouraged to wear their best beach attire while enjoying beach themed music and promotions. The best-dressed fan will win a prize pack from Auburn Athletics. The first 500 fans into Saturday's game will receive an Auburn baseball tumbler courtesy of Kinnucan's while the first 750 fans into Sunday's game will receive a baseball koozie courtesy of Longhorn Steakhouse. The entire weekend is Opelika City School's Weekend where fans can receive 2-for-1 admission to one of the games with the voucher.
