    * Auburn picked up a crucial SEC series win over the weekend, winning the final two games to win its third SEC series of the season and move to 27-19 overall and 9-15 SEC

    * The win was Auburn's fourth straight over Ole Miss and its second over the No. 18-ranked team in the country this season (defeated then-No. 18 Texas A&M April 5-7)

    * With the series win, Auburn gave itself a two-game lead over 13th-place Tennessee as it tries to secure a SEC Tournament berth for the fourth straight season

    * Both of Auburn's wins over Ole Miss were come-from-behind wins, giving it 18 on the season

    * Junior catcher Blake Austin added to his caught stealing by resume with two over the weekend, giving him 37 in his career, fourth all-time in Auburn history ... He is now just two behind Josh Bell (2003-05) for third

    * Austin also led Auburn at the plate, going 7-for-11 (.636) with three doubles, giving him a team-high 13 on the season ... He also drove in two runs and scored two runs

    * Junior third baseman Damek Tomscha hit a pair of home runs on the weekend, hitting a two-run, game-tying home run in the 8-5 comeback win on Saturday and then hitting a game-winning, solo home run in the 5-4 win on Sunday ... He finished the weekend 4-for-12 (.333) with three RBI and four runs scored and a .917 slugging percentage



    * Reliever Terrance Dedrick earned a win and a save against Ole Miss, throwing the final 2 2/3 innings on Saturday to pick up a save and the final 2 innings on Sunday to get the win ... He struck out three without allowing a base runners on Saturday and then added a strike out on Sunday ... He is now 4-2 on the season with a team-high six saves

    * Jordan Ebert snapped a dubious stats for Auburn on Saturday when he got a hit in the first inning ... It marked Auburn's first hit with the bases loaded in SEC play, after going 0-for-19 in the first seven series

    * Auburn also picked up its first SEC series-finale win with the 5-4 win on Sunday

    * When Michael O'Neal took a no-decision on Saturday, it marked the first time this season he did not factor into the decision

    * Auburn will now play nine games in a 12 day span to end the season ... The stretch begins on Tuesday at Jacksonville State, at home against Samford on Wednesday and at Florida over the weekend

    * The trip to Gainesville, Fla., will be Auburn's first since 2008.
