The Georgia Bulldogs came up just short on the road on Saturday, falling to the eighth-ranked Clemson Tigers 38-35 in Death Valley.

Georgia trailed 31-28 in the third quarter, and had a chance to tie the game on a field goal, but a bad snap foiled the attempt, and Georgia came up empty. From there, Clemson added a touchdown to make the margin 38-28, and the Tigers held on to win.

Georgia’s Todd Gurley, who was injured early in the game, returned to rush for 154 yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Aaron Murray passed for 323 yards, but no touchdowns.

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd accounted for five touchdowns in the game, three through the air and two on the ground.
