    LSU Thumps UAB, 56-17

    Zach Mettenberger passed for a school record five touchdowns as the Tigers blasted UAB 56-17 on Saturday at Tiger Stadium.

    Mettenberger was efficient, connecting on 16-of-19 through the air for 282 yards, with the five scores.

    Odell Beckham Jr. also had a huge game for the Tigers. Beckham had 331 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns, including a 100-yard return of a missed field goal in the game. Beckham also had three touchdown receptions.

    LSU led 21-0 after one quarter and 35-17 at the half.

    During his time at LSU, Les Miles is now 26-0 at Tiger Stadium against non-conference opponents.

    LSU is 33-0 under Miles in non-conference regular season games.

    Tomorrow, LSU will make its 67th straight appearance in the Associated Press poll, second to only Alabama.
