    Alabama Tops Colorado State, 31-6

    The Alabama Crimson Tide used a strong defensive effort to beat Colorado State, 31-6 on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

    Colorado State managed only 284 total yards, and only 56 yards on the ground. The Rams were four-of-15 on third down conversions.

    A.J. McCarron had another solid game for the Tide, passing for 258 yards and a touchdown.

    This game was a matchup between Alabama head coach Nick Saban and his former offensive coordinator with the Tide, Colorado State head coach Jim McElwain.
