    Mississippi State Cruises Past Troy

    Mississippi State scored 52 unanswered points en route to crushing Troy 62-7 on Saturday night in Starkville.

    Dak Prescott had another big game at quarterback for the Bulldogs (2-2). Prescott passed for a career high 233 yards, and he added 53 rushing yards, all while accounting for three touchdowns in the game.

    Mississippi State dominated the game statistically as well. The Bulldogs had 551 yards of total offense, while holding Troy to just 186. MSU had 30 first downs, while Troy recorded just 11.

    The Bulldogs led just 10-7 after the first quarter, but they exploded in the second stanza, outscoring Troy 35-0 to open up the game.

    Dan Mullen is now 16-3 in non-conference games at MSU.

    Prescott's previous career high in passing yards (213) came last week against Auburn.
