    LSU Slides Past Auburn, 35-21

    Playing in a driving rain storm, the LSU Tigers topped Auburn 35-21 on Saturday night at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

    Jeremy Hill had a huge game for LSU, rushing 25 times for 183 yards and three scores, including a 49-yard burst in the first quarter to open the scoring.

    LSU led 14-0 after one quarter and 21-0 at halftime before Auburn got things going in the third quarter, when Tre Mason rushed for a pair of touchdowns to pull Auburn within 28-14.

    However, LSU answered with a Zach Mettenberger touchdown pass to Jarvis Landry on the first play of the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 35-14.

    Auburn added a touchdown later in the fourth quarter, but could get no closer than the final margin.
