LSU blew open a close game by scoring the last 31 points of the contest, as the Tigers beat Mississippi State 59-26 on Saturday night in Starkville.
LSU turned to the running game on this night, scoring six touchdowns on the ground. Three different LSU running backs scored, led by Kenny Hilliard with three touchdowns. Jeremy Hill added a pair of scores, and Alfred Blue had one.
Zach Mettenberger had another big game for the Tigers, passing for 340 yards and two touchdowns.
The two teams combined for 1,031 yards in the game (LSU 563, MSU 468).

For the first time since 2009, LSU played back-to-back conference road games.
