The Southeastern Conference named its soccer players of the week on Monday morning, recognizing standout performances from another week of action on the pitch.
Summer Clarke, LSU

Clarke scored five of LSU’s eight goals, including her first career hat trick, in wins at Arkansas and at Alabama. While entering Friday’s match at Arkansas with three goals scored in her previous 11 starts on the year, Clarke doubled her goal total with three goals on the night in the 5-3 win. She became the first LSU Tiger to score a hat trick in nearly four years. Clarke followed Friday’s performance by scoring both goals in LSU’s 2-1 double overtime win at Alabama on Sunday
Taylor Leach, South Carolina

Leach anchored a Gamecock defense that allowed just one goal in wins at eighth-ranked Florida and at Tennessee. She scored the second goal of her career in game-winning fashion against Florida, scoring on a header from a corner kick in the 109th minute.
Emma Fletcher, LSU

Fletcher served up four assists on the team’s eight goals in leading LSU to wins at Arkansas and at Alabama. She assisted four of Summer Clarke’s five goals on the weekend that included Clarke’s game-winning goals in a 5-3 win at Arkansas on Friday and in a 2-1 double overtime win at Alabama Sunday. It was a record-setting weekend for Fletcher as she tied LSU’s single-game record with three assists against Arkansas and set a new LSU freshman record with 10 assists in just 13 matches on the season.
