After a slow start, the Alabama Crimson Tide scored 24 points in the fourth quarter, then cruised home with a 48-7 win over Kentucky on Saturday night in Lexington.
Alabama was held scoreless in the first quarter, largely due to turnovers and dropped passes, but the Crimson Tide got it going in the second stanza. Kenyan Drake scored a pair of touchdowns, as did T.J. Yeldon as the Tide remained unbeaten.
A.J. McCarron passed for 359 yards and a touchdown in the game to lead the Tide.
Kentucky's only score came on a 30-yard pass from Maxwell Smith to Javess Blue in the third quarter.
Passing - A.J. McCarron, 21-35, 359 yards, 1 TD
Rushing - T.J. Yeldon, 16 carries, 124 yards, 2 TD
Receiving - Kevin Norwood, 4 receptions, 81 yards, 1 TD
Passing - Maxwell Smith, 7-16, 76 yards, 1 TD
Rushing - Raymond Sanders, 14 carries, 72 yards
Receiving - Javess Blue, 2 receptions, 44 yards, 1 TD
Alabama leads the series between the teams 36-2-1.
The Crimson Tide hold the nation's second-longest winning streak, having won 10 straight. Only Ohio State (18) has won more in a row.
A.J. McCarron has now won 31 games as the Alabama starting quarterback, and needs only five more wins to break the record of 35 held by Jay Barker.
