    SEC FEMALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
    Allyx Purcell, Auburn
    Fr. • Southport, Australia
     
    Purcell posted two wins during action at the Royals Open hosted by Queens University of Charlotte. She posted a season-best time in the 100 free, a sub-50 second mark (49.58), topping former Auburn national champion in the event, Arianna Vanderpool-Wallace. Purcell also won gold in the 50 free after touching the wall in 22.90. The freshman helped the 200 free relay team to a first-place finish in 1:31.08, the third best time in the country this season.
     
    SEC FEMALE DIVER OF THE WEEK
    Alex Bettridge, LSU
    Jr. • Austin, Texas
     
    Bettridge won both springboards in LSU win over Tulane Friday night. The junior posted season-high scores of 304.73 on the 1-meter board and 311.70 on the 3-meter. Her 304.73 on the 1-meter board ranks third highest in the SEC while her 3-meter finish is seventh-best in the league.
     
    SEC FEMALE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
    Heather Lundstrom, Tennessee
    St. Louis, Mo.
     
    Lundstrom broke two minutes in the 200 butterfly for the first time in college during Tennessee’s 169-124 dual meet win over South Carolina. The Missouri native turned in a 1:58.53 in the 200 fly and recorded a collegiate best time of 55.62 in the 100 fly. Her 200 fly time ranks second highest in the SEC.
     
    SEC MALE SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
    Sam Tierney, Missouri
    Jr. • Plano, Texas
     
    Tierney won three individual events and helped the Tigers two a relay victory as the Tigers defeated both Kentucky (267.5-177.5) and Southern Illinois (333-106) Oct. 24-25. The Texas native claimed top honors in the 100 back (49.35), 100 breast (55.89) and 200 breast (2:02.11) in the two-day meet. He also helped Missouri take first in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:18.15, which stands as the fifth fastest in the nation this year.
     
    SEC MALE DIVER OF THE WEEK
    David Bonuchi, Missouri
    Sr. • Columbia, Mo.
     
    Bonuchi swept the springboard events in Mizzou’s two-day meet with Kentucky and Southern Illinois Oct. 24-25 in Carbondale, Ill. He posted season highs on both events en route to the sweep. The senior posted a score of 351.25 on the 1-meter and 396.80 on the 3-meter for the victories. Bonuchi has now won five of six events this season, including all three 3-meter competitions.
     
    SEC MALE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
    Brandon Flynn, Kentucky
    York, Pa.
     
    Flynn won all four races Oct. 24-25 against Missouri and Southern Illinois in Carbondale, Ill. He posted his first collegiate win in the men’s 400 individual medley on Oct. 24 after touching the wall in 3:58.11. Flynn also won the 500 freestyle in 4:31.75. On Oct. 25, freshman won the 1,000 yard freestyle in 9:21.94 before leading a 1-2-3 UK finish in the 500 free. The York, Pa. native took first in that event with a time of 4:32.26 ahead of teammates Matt Roman and Scott Crosthwaite.
