FLUSHING, N.Y. - University of Kentucky sophomore women's tennis player Nadia Ravita fell in the first round at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
Ravita took on Oklahoma State's Kanyapat Narattana in the first round and fell after a well fought match. She lost 6-4 in both sets. Ravita, who was selected as an at large participant for the tournament, is only the second Wildcat to get a bid since 2005.
Ravita will face Michigan's Ronit Yurovsky in the singles consolation match. The match is slated to begin at 3 p.m. ET with practice beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET.
