COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Mississippi State visited Kyle Field on Saturday to take on No. 15 Texas A&M, and Johnny Manziel and the Aggies handed the Bulldogs a 51-41 defeat. Manziel threw for nearly 450 yards on the afternoon and tossed five touchdown passes to boost the Aggies (8-2) past MSU (4-5).
Manziel managed to out-duel another dual threat signal-caller in Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott, who led the Bulldogs in passing and rushing on the day. Manziel also led his team through the air and on the ground, registering 47 rushing yards to go along with his 446 passing yards.
After taking a 23-14 lead into the second half, Texas A&M hung 28 points in the second half to pull away from the Bulldogs.
Mike Evans and Travis Lebhart had big games for the Aggies on the outside, with each receiver going over the 100-yard mark in the victory. Evans led all receivers with 116 yards, while Lebhart had 102 yards to go along with a pair of touchdowns.
