    SEC Volleyball Players Of The Week

    The Southeastern Conference announced its volleyball players of the week on Monday, recognizing outstanding performances on the court from another week of action around the league.

    Anni Thomasson
    Outside Hitter, Kentucky
    6-0  • Fr. • Newark, Ohio
    • Tallied 30 kills and 22 digs, both career-highs, in a five-set win over LSU. It was the conference’s first 30+ kills and 20+ digs match since 2010
    • Thomasson’s 30-20 match is also the first in UK history for a freshman, and just the second 30-20 performance in school history
    • Averaged 5.25 kills, 3.12 digs and 5.56 points per set on a .341 hitting over the weekend. She opened the weekend with a 12-kill performance against South Carolina
    Whitney Little
    Middle Blocker, Missouri
    6-3  • Jr. • Keller, Texas
    • Averaged 2.43 blocks per set and tallied 17 total blocks in a 2-0 weekend for Mizzou
    • Added her sixth career 10-block match in a win over Alabama on Sunday 
    • Had seven blocks in a sweep of Auburn on Friday
    Briana Holman
    Middle Blocker, LSU
    6-1  • DeSoto, Texas
    • Had 17 kills and seven blocks in a 3-2 win vs. Georgia and helped fuel the LSU comeback in the fifth set by tallying five kills on seven errorless swings to go along with two blocks
    • Tallied a career-high 20 kills on .421 hitting (20-4-38) in a five-set loss to No. 20 Kentucky 
    • Averaged 3.70 kills and 1.20 blocks per set while hitting .378 over the weekend  
    • Nakeyta Clair (MB, Ole Miss) – Tallied 47 kills and nine blocks in a 2-1 week for Ole Miss; had a career-high 19 kills on a .536 hitting clip in a win at Mississippi State
    • Allie Sawatzky (S, Texas &M) – Posted her SEC-leading sixth triple-double of the season with 10 kills, 31 assists and 11 digs while hitting .450 in a 3-1 victory at Ole Miss
    • Carly Kan (OH, Missouri) – Posted a pair of double-doubles last week; averaged 3.71 kills and 3.00 digs per set in a pair of road wins for Mizzou
    • Melanie Crow (RS, Ole Miss) – Averaged 3.00 kills and 1.08 blocks per set last week, had a career-high 16 kills in win at Tennessee
    • Krystal Rivers (MB, Alabama) – Led the Tide with 41 total kills while hitting .337 in the three matches; averaged 3.73 kills per set last week
    • Camila Jersonsky (MB, Auburn) – Equaled season-high with seven blocks and had 11 kills in win over Arkansas
    • Tirah Le’au (OH, Georgia) – Helped Georgia to a 3-0 win over South Carolina on Sunday; notched 10 kills in the win over the Gamecocks without committing an error for a .769 attack percentage  
    • Kimmy Gardiner (OPP, Mississippi State) – Posted 31 kills on the week, including 17 against in a nationally-televised match against Ole Miss on ESPNU
    • Heather Reynolds (L, Texas A&M) – Had 16 digs at Mississippi State as the Aggies hit .439, a team season-high and the highest hitting pct. in an SEC match in school history
    • Roxanne McVey (L, Mississippi State) – Notched a pair double-digit dig performances to go along with nine assists in MSU's matches against Ole Miss and Texas A&M 
    • Stephanie Campbell (MB, Auburn) – Matched career-high with 13 kills, hit a team-best .400 and set new career-high with six blocks in a win over Arkansas
    • Jazzmin Babers (MB, Texas A&M) – Averaged 1.57 blocks per set and hit .312 offensively for the week, including a .417 performance at Mississippi State
    • Elena Perri (MB, Georgia) – Finished with 15 kills over two matches last week including nine against LSU; led Georgia on the defensive end with total nine blocks over the weekend
