    South Carolina Slips Past Florida, 19-14

    South Carolina outscored Florida 13-0 in the second half to beat the Gators 19-14 on Saturday night in Columbia.

    Kicker Elliott Fry was key for the Gamecocks, as he hit four field goals and an extra point in the game.

    Connor Shaw had 213 yards passing and a touchdown for South Carolina, who remains in contention for the SEC Eastern Division title. Shon Carson led the Gamecocks with 102 yards on the ground.

    Florida was without Tyler Murphy, who had been starting at quarterback. In Murphy's absence, Skyler Mornhinweg passed for only 73 yards. However, the Gators ran for 200 yards as a team to stay in the game.
