A.J. McCarron had two touchdown passes as top-ranked Alabama won at Mississippi State, 20-7 on Saturday night.
The Alabama defense was stellar once again, allowing Mississippi State to gain only 197 total yards, including only 53 on the ground.
The Tide led 10-0 at the half, but MSU scored early in the third quarter to cut the lead to 10-7. But it was all Alabama from there.
T.J. Yeldon controlled the game on the ground, rushing 24 times for 160 yards.

With the win, A.J. McCarron tied Jay Barker for the most wins by a starting quarterback (35) in school history.
Since the start of the 2009 season, Alabama has allowed only 81 total touchdowns. The next closest on the list is LSU, which has allowed 120 during the same span.
