    Top-Ranked Alabama Beats Mississippi State, 20-7

    A.J. McCarron had two touchdown passes as top-ranked Alabama won at Mississippi State, 20-7 on Saturday night.

    The Alabama defense was stellar once again, allowing Mississippi State to gain only 197 total yards, including only 53 on the ground.

    The Tide led 10-0 at the half, but MSU scored early in the third quarter to cut the lead to 10-7. But it was all Alabama from there.

    T.J. Yeldon controlled the game on the ground, rushing 24 times for 160 yards.
