    SEC Equestrian Riders of the Month (November 27, 2013)

    SEC Equitation Over Fences Rider of the Month: Christina Lin, Auburn (Sr., Lewisburg, Pa.)
    • Posted a 5-0 record in Equitation Over Fences in the month of November with each of her wins coming against ranked opponents. Three of those victories came on the road.
    • Helped her team to a 4-1 record in the month of November, including two victories against top-ranked opponents.
    • Averaged a score of 80 in her five meets this past month.
    • Is a perfect 7-0 in Equitation Over Fences on the 2013-14 season.

    SEC Co-Equitation On The Flat Rider of the Month: Liza Finsness, Georgia (Fr., Wellington, Fla.)
    • Went 3-1 in Equitation On The Flat in the month of November, with each of her wins coming against ranked teams and two of those victories coming on the road.
    • Earned three MVP honors in her four meets during the 2013-14 season.
    • Averaged a score of 86.5 over three competitions and was the only Georgia hunt seat rider to earn three MVP honors in November, earning MVP honors against both SEC foes faced.  
    • Is 5-1 on the season and is averaging a score of better than 80.  

    SEC Co-Equitation On The Flat Rider of the Month: Demi Stiegler, Auburn (Jr., Irvine, Calif.)
    • Went 4-1 in Equitation On The Flat in the month of November, with each of her five competitions coming against ranked foes and three of her victories coming on the road.
    • Earned one MVP honor after posting the nation’s highest score of 96 vs. No. 1 Baylor.
    • Helped her team to a 4-1 record in the month of November, including two victories against top-ranked opponents.
    • Posted scores of 82 or better in four of five performances this month.

    SEC Horsemanship Rider of the Month: Heather Schmidt, Georgia (So., Bettendorf, Iowa)
    • Logged a 4-0 record in Horsemanship in the month of November with a pair of MVP honors. Three of her four wins came on the road.
    • Posted the SEC’s highest score of the year (conference competitions only) with a 78.5 at Auburn, earning her MVP honors.
    • Is undefeated on the season for Georgia.
    • Helped her team to a 2-2 record during the month of November with all competitions coming against ranked opponents.

    SEC Reining Rider of the Month: Layla Choate, South Carolina (Jr., Murray, Ky.)
    • Posted a 2-0 record in Reining in the month of November, averaging a score of 72. Both of her victories came on the road.
    • In her team’s win at No. 2 Auburn, posted an event-high score of 71.5.
    • In her squad’s victory at South Dakota State, posted an event-high score of 72.5, defeating SDSU’s highest score of the event (70) and earning MVP honors.
    • Is 7-1 in Reining on the season, including a 5-0 mark on the road.
    • Helped her team to a 2-0 record in November.
