    South Carolina Beats Clemson, 31-17

    South Carolina took advantage of six Clemson turnovers to beat the Tigers 31-17 on Saturday night in Columbia.

    Connor Shaw passed for a touchdown and rushed for another as the Gamecocks beat their intrastate rival for the fifth straight time.

    Clemson tied the game at 17 in the third quarter when Roderick McDowell rushed for a four-yard touchdown. But South Carolina answered in the fourth quarter with a pair of scores, including a Pharoh Cooper pass to Brandon Wilds with 3:44 left to ice the game.

    Clemson actually had more total yards than South Carolina (352-318), but turnovers gave the Gamecocks great field position throughout the game.
