Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron finished second in the 2013 Heisman Trophy voting, it was announced on Saturday evening.
McCarron finished behind the winner, Jameis Winston of Florida State.
McCarron received 79 first-place votes, and finished with 704 total points. Winston had 2,205 points to win the award.
Defending Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel received 30 first-place votes, but finished fifth in the voting with 421 points.
Auburn running back Tre Mason finished sixth after receiving 31 first-place votes and 404 total points.
