The Mississippi State Bulldogs fell behind 7-0, then scored 44 straight points to blow out Rice, 44-7 in the Liberty Bowl on Tuesday.
MSU quarterback Dak Prescott accounted for five touchdowns in the game, three through the air and two on the ground. Prescott passed for 283 yards and rushed for 78.
Jameon Lewis also had a big game for the Bulldogs, catching nine passes for 220 yards in the game.
The Bulldogs dominated the stats as well, recording 27 first downs to just seven for Rice. MSU had 534 total yards, while the Owls had just 145.

Mississippi State played in a fourth straight bowl game for the first time in school history.
The Bulldogs are now 10-7 in bowl games.
