    Eight SEC Teams Ranked In NFCA Preseason Poll

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – A nation-leading eight Southeastern Conference institutions, including three in the top-six, are ranked in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Preseason Top 25. Tennessee, which was the 2013 NCAA Runner-Up, is the nation’s top-ranked team to begin the 2014 campaign.

    For the first time in program history, Tennessee will start the season at No. 1.  It is UT's first time at No. 1 in the poll since it was at the top on May 9, 2007.

    Florida is ranked No. 4, while Alabama checks in at No. 6. Texas A&M is No. 11, Kentucky is No. 12 and Missouri is No. 14. LSU (No. 17) and Georgia (No. 23) round out the national top-25.

    SEC squads Arkansas and Auburn also are receiving votes.

    The SEC will announce its Coaches Preseason Predicted Order of Finish on Monday, January 27.
