    SEC Women's Tennis Players Of The Week

    The Southeastern Conference announced its first weekly women's tennis honors of the season Wednesday, recognizing outstanding performances on the court from around the league in the early season.

    • After sitting out the falls season due to injury, came back to win the singles championship at the Wildcat Winter Classic, going undefeated against opponents from No. 15 Northwestern, DePaul and Iowa.
    • Battled back from a 6-3 first-set loss to win her match 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 against Manon Peri from 15th-ranked Northwestern.
    • Partnered with Erin Routliffe, beat the 38th-ranked double duo of DePaul’s Ana Vladutu and Jasmin Kling, 6-4.

    • In her first-ever collegiate spring dual matches, Hudson opened her season 3-0 individually (2-0 singles, 1-0 doubles).
    • Made quick work of Wichita State sophomore Julia Schiller on Court 2 during the day’s first dual match, winning 6-0, 6-0. 
    • In the second dual match on the day, Hudson teamed up with teammate Sarah McLean to defeat the ITA Central Region No. 7 doubles pairing of Julia Schiller and Abby Stevens, 6-4. 
    • Hudson capped off her undefeated day on Court 2 against Rebecca Pedrazzi, coming back after losing the first set 1-6 and defeating the Wichita State sophomore in singles play, 1-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-5).
